NPA is offering a much needed webinar on Telehealth Assessment of Children, including:
- reliable measures that work best with children online,
- the challenges of proctoring children and maintaining focus of attention in an online environment,
- reliability and validity issues with online assessment of children, and
- additional challenges of online assessment of children in rural areas.
Jeremy Sharp, PhD of the Colorado Center for Assessment & Counseling is a specialist in neuropsychological and psychological assessment of children and adolescents with ADHD, learning disorders, mood disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Dr. Sharp is the host of the Testing Psychologist podcast and the founder of the Testing Psychologist Community on Facebook, a group with nearly 6000 members from around the world.
Presenter: Jeremy Sharp, PhD
Dr. Sharp is a licensed psychologist and Director at the Center for Assessment & Counseling, a private practice which he founded in 2009 and grew to include over ten clinicians and a full administrative staff. He earned his undergraduate degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina before getting his Master’s and PhD in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University. These days, he specializes in psychological and neuropsychological evaluation with kids and adolescents. As the host of the Testing Psychologist Podcast he provides private practice coaching (http://www.thetestingpsychologist.com/consulting/) for psychologists and other mental health professionals who want to start or grow psychological testing services in their practices. He lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with his wife (also a therapist) and two young kids.
